[K-Life Guide] 🇰🇷 Landing in Korea? Here’s Your Essential Top 5 Checklist!

2024-04-01

YAY! You’ve finally made it to Korea! ✈️ The excitement is real, but we know it can be a bit overwhelming right after you step out of Incheon Airport. Don't worry, LearnStay(런스테이) is here to make your transition as smooth as a K-pop dance move.

If you’re staying with us for a week up to 3 months, here are the Top 5 things you need to do ASAP!

1. Stay Connected: Grab Your SIM or eSIM 📱

First things first—Data! You’ll need it for maps, translation, and of course, posting your first "I'm in Korea" story. For short-term stays, a Prepaid SIM or eSIM is your best friend.

  • Where to go: KT Roaming or LG U+ Roaming.
  • Pro Tip: You can pick these up right at the airport arrival hall. All you need is your passport!

2. Your Magic Pass: The T-money Card 💳

Buses, subways, and even taxis—you’ll need a T-money card to get around like a local. You can buy one at any convenience store (CU, GS25, 7-Eleven).

  • Check this out: KOREA TOUR CARD for extra discounts on tourist spots!
  • Quick Tip: Just say "T-money card juseyo" (T-money card, please!) and top it up with some cash.

3. Navigate Like a Pro: Naver Map & Subway Korea 📍

Google Maps isn't the best in Korea. For the most accurate routes, download Naver Map. It has a great English interface! Also, Subway Korea is a lifesaver for checking real-time train times.

4. Keep It Safe: Passport & K-ETA 🛂

Since you're here for a short adventure, your Passport is your official ID. Since you don't want to lose it, keep a digital photo on your phone and a printed copy in your LearnStay room.

  • Check your status: K-ETA Official Site
  • Keep in mind: You’ll need your original passport if you're planning to visit clubs or buy some "adult drinks"! 🍻

5. Settle In: LearnStay Check-in & Neighborhood Tour 🏠

Time to drop those heavy bags! Check into your cozy LearnStay room and say hi to your manager. After a quick refresh, take a walk around the neighborhood to find the nearest convenience store and that cute cafe you saw on the way in.

  • Our Home: Korestay (LearnStay)
  • Pro Tip: Ask your LearnStay manager for a "Hidden Gem" food map—they know all the best local spots!

We’re so excited to have you here! Got questions? Just drop a comment below or ask us in the community lounge. Let's make your Korean journey unforgettable! 🧡

Welcome to your Seoul life! ✨
